Stubbed my toe on a disc tray
Part II
This one wasn't written for Western Civ. I don't know what class it's for, but it's an interesting assignment. Write random things about Napoleon and Lenin!
Once again, my comments are in bold.
Napoleon and Lenin were both known for their political leadership skills. Napoleon and Lenin both had ways of leading that were very different from one another. Frog and Toad are friends. Napoleon planned his political acts as carefully and methodically as he might plan for a military campaign. Wait a second, that's a real sentence! What's all this then? Napoleon was a man who was less serious and less sincere for the love of the republican ideas. Like John Kerry. The signing of the Treaty of Campo Formio, by Napoleon showed his view on republican ideas. Napoleon was a more hands on leader He asked peasants to touch him, he got his hands dirty in rallies and political meetings. Where on the other hand Lenin kept his hands clean. Lenin was totally OCD. He used to wash his hands like 50 times a day. Lenin observed Russia from abroad creating his abuse on the Tsar. Tsar abuse! Someone call the cops! Although Napoleon and Lenin were both considered great leaders they certainly did it in different ways. (Sowards 161) For instance, Napoleon took over most of Europe, whereas Lenin didn't. They sure were different. In fact, some say they weren't even the same person!
Napoleon a great leader had three main keys to his success as a leader, the terror he brought, his military, and he was a go getter. Lenin wasn't? But just remember: NAPOLEON WAS A GO GETTER.
Napoleon instilled fear and in all. The people feared Napoleon because of his secret police that he produce on his rise to power. They were an inferior good, actually. As incomes rose, production of secret police fell. Bonaparte’s police controlled the traffic on the British borders not letting cotton and exotic goods porno? in. Not obeying the secret police would definitely mean death by the guillotine. This caused many to suffer, but do do doo, tra la laaa to fear of the secret police there was nothing they could do. (Johnson 119) You see, because they were afraid, they couldn't not be afraid. Vicious cycle.
General Bonaparte was a force to be reckon ya reckon'? with on the battle fields. Napoleon started as a b, c, d, e, f... artillery leader and was soon bumped up to General skipping all the other ranks. The famous “whiff of grapeshot” carried out in October 1975 by Robo-Napleon from Robo-France 29? In the future, the past has occured. helped launch Napoleon career. As said by Sowards, He was now a force to be reckoned with in the politics of the Revolution. (Soward 20) This Sowards guy sounds like a force to be reckoned with.
Another key to the success of Napoleon was the fact that he was a go getter. Just in case you forgot, NAPOLEON WAS A GO GETTER. As one may recall when Napoleon was to be crown the prince, instead of letting the bishops crown him he took the crown and crowned himself. Therefore showing the power he had over the people. I did that at Burger King, once. Man, the bishops were pissed.
Lenin came to power through determination. Lenin was determined to be a revolutionary, due to the unexpected death of his brother. An initial impulse was needed, which was provided by the unexpected death of his brother. That's how most revolutions get started. Some random dude's brother dies and he gets all pissed off. Many say Lenin used war as form of getting power. Many also say that 2 + 2 = 4. Coincidence? Lenin was the only social democrat that saw the war as a jumpstart for his cause as a Revolutionary.
Once Napoleon Uncle Lenny is taking a smoke break had trick the people into letting him have full control over their governments, he used the power to torment the people. With, like, codified laws and junk! Napoleon used his power to take the peasants lands and turn it into a kingdom for his family members. Instead everyone have free rule as planned, Napoleon appointed family members to rule over certain parts of the country. Therefore leading the people back in to the old regime. Napoleon used and abused his power while he was on top just to better him and his family. Nepotism? How barbaric! Nobody does that anymore.
Once on top and in power Lenin used his power differently the Napoleon had. For example, he didn't conquer Europe. Although Lenin caused several thousand of his people to suffered, he was doing it for the cause. Napoleon wasn't? Lenin used his powers to better Russia. I guess this says bad things about France under Napoleon. Lenin used his power to sit up! Lie down! Good dog. an economic policy that would do away with the classes. And boy did that work out! Lenin treated the word compromise as a dirty word. He felt that the harsh measurements had to be taken and that only one standpoint base upon class struggle would suffice. Although Lenin’s use of power cause many people to starve and die, he felt that this was the right direction for the revolution to be heading in . (Service 272) Starvation and death usually are good directions for countries to head in.
Napoleon used the National Assembly to help in the influence of his rise to power. The fact that in France were starving to death Poor in France... and they were looking for someone to tell the king they wanted to abolish the Old Feudalism System giving all men equal rights. Napoleon use the National Assembly as a formless and void? getting the people to join him and be on his side. The National Assembly was put together by Napoleon and this group told the king that they would be starting a new Government ran by the people not by the king. Napoleon also used the Industrial revolution as a forming on the horizon... to influence the people of France. The fact the Napoleon had done away with the different classes and gave the working men more rights. That sounds like a good fact. Wait, I thought that was supposed to be Lenin? Whose side is he on? This shot him straight to the top. The reason this shot him to the top is because the people that actually went out and did the fight for the king were the burghers. Delicious. Now that they burgher were burgher on burgher the side of Napoleon, the King had no one to defend him against uprising of the people. I think I better be quiet now... (Sorry, I'm listening to Elliott Smith.) one thing that affected Napoleons rise to power was that the people wanted rule of themselves. The French Revolution might lead one to think that, yes. Napoleon was a man sent to lead the people, show the people what was right, and a person the people looked up to. Instead Napoleon Prounouns are just too mysterious and scary... wanted rule over the people of France, and this affected his rise to power. (Dr. Liulevicius Lecture 6) Ok. What I think he's missing are the words "supposed to be" before "a man." Either that or a lobotomy.
Lenin use many of the ideals from the Western civilization at the time to his advantage. Such as death to uncooperative peasants. Such as the fact that Russia was looking to become a Nationalist state, what other way to prove this then by going to work and fighting side by side to defend your country. Lenin was a force to be reckon with on the battle fields. Wait, maybe Napoleon and Lenin aren't so different after all... Lenin used the fact that World War One was fixing to occur. Lenin was the only democrat at this time that saw the war as a good thing for the cause of the revolution. Just in case you forgot that he said this earlier. Also, NAPOLEON WAS A GO GETTER. Lenin saw the war as a way of getting the people of Russia back on economic track. Poverty? The war would give the working classes new jobs that would improve their living. We should thank President Bush, then. Think how many jobs we would have lost were it not for the war! This would also eliminate that darned cat fight for classes.
With the invention of the newsprint, Lenin was better able to get his word out to many people not just those he talked to at the political conventions. It was believed that Lenin thought words of print stuck longer in the minds of men then a speech. Perhaps because they're fucking permanent. “Words in print were still his revolutionary touchstone and he badgered colleagues who spent their time speaking to at mass meetings rather then writing.” I wouldn't listen to Service if he couldn't spell "than." This is why many of the enemies of the Bolshevik party identified him as the greatest single threat to political stability. (Service 272-73) LENNI WAS SAMRT. BOLSHEVILSKE WER EAFRIADN OF HIMMMM1
Many would say that Napoleon was a more successful leader then that of Lenin. Well, he did conquer Europe... He lead the people out of the Old Regime and into a form of Nationalism now as the National Assembly. The number one reason that Napoleon did this was to better himself and his family. Lenin on the other in hand want to improve the living for all of Russia. The moral? The means justify the ends. I think. Well, at least it's a point rather than random letters on a screen. Yes Lenin might have gone about it the wrong way and caused several of his fellow men to die just for his cause. Lenin tried to better the country. Sure, it didn't work, but at least he tried! The difference between Lenin and Napoleon is that Lenin did it to better the living style of his people and to form a state of nationalism. Wait, I thought Napoleon was doing the nationalism thing? Maybe this was a paper about nationalism. Who can tell? Napoleon on the other hand did it just to put himself on top. This is the key reason why Lenin was a more successful leader then that of Napoleon, because it He used a pronoun! THE WRONG ONE!did it for the good and the advancement of his people. EFFORT = SUCCESS. Well then! This paper still fails.
I made the gay CD. It's called Fag Me MORE! Motor Cycle Leather Boy ended up with a lot of pops for some reason. I may have to re-record it. I mean, it's probably the best song on the CD. Just know that I included It's Raining Men. I had to, you know?
Tomorrow brings the worst paper ever written by an author who writes. Trembling with anticipation? I know I am.
