Feel the power of my laziness
Your shoelace is untied

Sooo I promised an update, and I didn't make it. Watch me not care. You'll take these essays as they come and like it.

Really, I'm just far too lazy these days. Not enough IRC or journal updating. Wah. Moving on, essay time! My comments are in bold, and large font if I want to mock comma usage. Wee-yeah!

As I begin to read through the article that was assigned for classes, I begin to ponder on what exactly the author of the article was trying to get across. See, this is not true. As he begins to read the article, he probably just begins to read the article. I'll bet he doesn't "ponder on... what the author... was [saying]" until he begins to write shitty papers. As a This is one I'll never understand - I see "a" and "I" mixed up on the internet all the time. How? Even with the capitalized I. They're not anywhere close. Kill me. continued reading through the article, I begin to pick up on some key points that the author was bringing pointing out. Sentence 1: I wondered what this article was about. Sentence 2: I got a clue of what this article was about. In the article “How Did Jews Become White Folks” , written by Karin Brodkin, the author states, “ Like most chicken and egg problems, its hard to know what came first”( Brodkin 5). What I think the author means here is, that there really no way to tell, what the pure race really, is. What I think the author is saying here is what the author is saying here. You can track back and track back Sounds like a catchy song in history, but I really don’t think you can find a pure race. Parasite Eve? What actually qualifies you as a pure race? Baptism by fire. That is what I think the author means by this statement. The author proves this several times in her article. She uses several examples, for instance when it is stated in the article that Jews, which were not consider the pure race, were mixed into the population with the so called pure race the whites. I must ask - what the fuck is a "pure" race?

When I really started studying heh the article I formed some ideals about what the author said. So he formed perfect notions? I formed my own opinions and I wondered what actually was meant. Didn't even add a "by her" to extend word count. What's the point? I had many ideals before I read this article but after reading it I have formed many new opinions about the so called pure race. "I am easily swayed." I think there is not such thing as a pure race, because as I mentioned before several times in the article I read And also apparently wrote? that the Jews were mixed in the same population areas as the whites, which leads me to believe that there is true pure race. I think that sentence is our thesis statement(s). Yea, believe in Me and ye shall find peace people say they are pure black or pure white One of my great grandmothers was an Indian, yep, I asked the question what makes you are pure black person, or a pure white person. As I looked at my background I begin to wonder, because even though both of my parents are black that does not make me a pure black person. I have Irish , Cherokee, and is an extremely good chance I have some of that so called pure race in me. Water molecules are almost pure oxygen.

Well well well this reading ties in extremely well with what we are talking about in class. Which is probably why you fucking read it! This article is another example of how your race, can improve your status in life. You know as we talked in class it is thought that your race, money status, where you live make you better that another person. I'm better than Floridians. The longer I stay in this class, the more my views on certain things begin to change. "I'm really easily swayed." Its amazing the things that are pounded in your head from a little child might not necessarily be true. Parents lie. They lie right to your face.

Hey, this song [was] dedicated to You.

One more left!

You know, the more of his stuff I read, the more I come to appreciate my high school. I keep forgetting how low the general standard of education is in this country.

I was shocked when I started my freshman year here at UAF that the majority of freshmen have no idea what APA or MLA format is, let alone how to use either properly. All of these seemingly basic things I've taken for granted.

Or perhaps your friend is just an idiot who miraculously managed to graduate? I'd like to believe that it's not possible to obtain a diploma and still be that illiterate.

I... don't know. I don't know how he got into college, I don't know how he's not on academic probation, I don't know how he can exist in this atmosphere. Of course, he's a "sports management" major (or something of the sort), and is a coach's assistant, but this is embarassing. I don't really give a damn that a high school pushed him through, but a college too?

Wow, you went easy on this one. I noticed at least two things you avoided commenting on. I think the worst offense of this paper is that I don't even know what the hell he is talking about through the whole thing, he tells us nothing about the article itself only a hint of the subject matter.

If you read all his papers, you notice that pattern. I mocked the first few for it, but now I just take it as a given.

He seems uniquely skilled at making other people's work sound dumber by trying to talk about it... Then again, this is sociology we're talking about. Even taken out of context, "Like most chicken and egg problems, its(sic) hard to know what came first" is a very dumb sentence.

Sociology: As much of a joke as anthropology, but without the travel!

(My apologies to any serious sociologists who actually know and use statistics properly.)

You know, you could really fuck with your roommate's world view if you now tried to discuss with him how researchers are using DNA sequencing and looking for genetic markers to trace population migrations in the ancient world.

"I think there is not such thing as a pure race..."

"...which leads me to believe that there is true pure race."

I think I get it now. He meant to put "there is not such thing as a lie pure race," there.

I saw something recently arguing that there is no genetic basis for race. In fact, there is often more genetic variation between members of the same race than there are between people of different races.
