| Bio: | There's an old nursery rhyme, it went something like: My Bonnie lies over the ocean, My Bonnie lies over the sea. My Bonnie lies over the ocean, Please bring back my Bonnie to me. When I was much younger, I thought that "Bonnie" was the man's bonnet. I imagined that he was standing on the beach when a gust blew past, whisking the bonnet off of his head and carrying it to the other side of that large body of water. I wondered why he didn't have it tied. I mean, of course the wind's going to knock the bonnet off of your head if it's not tied on! I also questioned why a grown man was wearing a bonnet to begin with. I dreamed it was yellow, and had blue flowers on it. What kind of man wears something like that? Even as a child, I knew it was ridiculous. I never liked that song. It wasn't until quite recently that I realized Bonnie was his lover. Well, of course the wind's going to blow her to the other side if you don't tie her to your head. Grown men can be so silly. | |||||
